Song Information:

On the surface this song would seem to be taking a shot at American business, but it is really intended to be more spiritual than political. It was inspired by an online discussion about the existence of God I had with 'alley-oop,' an Internet friend.

WWWTW is not so much about business, as it is about 'busy-ness.' How sometimes we are so preoccupied with perceived reality--worldly things--that we have no time to consider ultimate reality. Sometimes business is a comforting distraction.

For those who say, "But, business makes the world go round!" I would suggest that what really makes the world go round is Something Else.

[Thanks to Peter Greenstone, Daphne Kalfon and Tom Schmitt (alley-oop) for additional lyrics. Thanks to Tom Schmitt for the artwork. Thanks also to the Wrong World Choir.]

LYRICS:
Business is what's wrong with this world/
Business is what's wrong with this world/
I ask, how are you?/
Busy, you reply/
I nod my head/
But I never ask why/
I never ask why/

Money is what's wrong with this world/
Money is what's wrong with this world/
Buy bigger houses/
Cars built like trucks/
So much to buy/
And we never ask why/
We never ask why/

I know a man named alley-oop/
He lives far away/
I asked alley-oop if God is real/
And listened to him say,/
"I don't think so/
But I don't really know/
I'd like to believe it, but/
I really have to go/
I really should be leaving.../

(chorus)
Business is what's wrong with this world/
Business is what's wrong with this world/
Business is what's wrong with this world/ etc ad lib out/
