Macidol Mac music community

Song Information:

This song is a little relaxation from the tension I felt in recording my song for the current MacIdol competition.Very simply recorded in Garageband, I'd almost forgotten about it, and just gotten around to recording it the other day. I wrote this a few years back, thinking about the things that my father gave me in terms of attitude and deeper things that are somewhat indescribable. It contains a lot of the little verses that my father would recite in his sort of comedian role, and probably those are the the things that influenced me greatest. He was in his younger years a musician/comedian/tour guide on the tour boats in the the 1000 Islands area of Upstate New York but gave it up long ago to raise a family. Since I wrote it, my father has suffered a series of strokes that have left him with dementia, and though he is in a somewhat permanently confused state now, he still is sweet and funny in his way. I cannot think of this without getting to the point of crying, sadly, but I hope this comes across as sweet, and not pathetic. Isn't the Laughter all we ever have?
