The meaning of the song in my mind.

Ho Hum is the dull gray drudgery of my life at this point in time.

This life of mine is a lie because I'm scared that what our parents tried to instill in us as a family was not true. My parents would always wanted us to be close. This was true on the outside, but deep down we were taught to be strongly independent from one another. And now that they are gone I need them and my siblings more than ever.

I have nothing to say in the song because my life is filled with nothing. I have friends for sure that care and love me and I care for them deeply, but my family is what I want to be close with because that's all I have in this world and in my life.

Now that my parents have passed, I feel very alone. I see my friends and their siblings and see the difference in the fact these people need each other. Of course their families are just as fucked up as mine, but that's the norm but one thing remains is that they still need each other. Oh it's true I see my brothers and sister here and there but there is nothing really there. Harsh as it is, it's the truth. I pray for change.
