Funny story about this song...
This is the very first (hopefully not the last) song I'd ever done in a big studio. It's the instrumental. This was written for a friend. Another friend heard it & wanted to record it. He did. It was never released. Now this was 5 years ago.

Flash to 2007. I'd done some acting in a film. Big budget called "The Maiden Heist" Big names. Morgan Freeman, William H. Macy, Christopher Walken, etc. (should be out March 2009) Anyhow, I play a security guard (my big 15 minutes!) who guards the warehouse. As they are rehearsing, I walk up to the director, Peter Hewitt (he directed "Me, You & Dupree") and asked him (let me tell you, you're NEVER supposed to go up to the director if you're just a "background artiste") "Hey, wouldn't this (my character) guard be like bored stiff? Wouldn't he be like humming or something?" Peter goes, "So, what did you have in mind?" I say, "Oh, I don't know, maybe some obscure 70's song or something." Peter says, "We'd be getting into copywright territory so we wouldn't want to do that." So I say, "Well, I could hum something that I wrote." Peter goes, "Ok, we'll see how it goes" Next thing I know, a sound guy puts a Lav mic on me & I start humming the melody to MY song while we're filming. Now, flash forward to spring of 2008, I get a call from a producer of the film saying that I have to perform some ADR (automatic dialogue replacement) for the film. I'm thinking, "Hey I didn't have any lines!" It turns out, it's for the SONG that I was humming. So, I said all that to say, it looks like my song will be in the movie...somewhat! Cool freakin' beanz!!
