Song Information:

Depending on your point of view, Chicago was either the starting or ending point of a trip from one end of Route 66 to the other; the other beginning of ending was Los Angeles or, more accurately, Santa Monica. This musical postcard from the Second City, circa 1985, attempts to present a Greyhound bus ride from the terminal just off Union Park, out onto Route 66, and then through the 'burbs, when the rider finally falls asleep after a night of partying in Chicago's jazz district.
