This Loop-less (cept for the drums) song is the result of an experiment. I asked Stuart Walker if he had any lyrics "Laying Around" that he didn't want to do anything with, would he please send them my way so that I might put music to them if he didn't mind. He had nothing at hand at that time. Well I got to thinking that I might be talking out of my hat! So I sneaked off and chose one of Stuart's less known (to me) songs. I chose one, more or less at random, a song called "First to Know" at stuart Walker's page. I did not listen to the original melody because I didn't want to be influenced by it. I wanted to have a totaly new melody.
Now after I worked on it for awhile I thought it sounded pretty good and made a recording. I sent it to Stuart and he liked it and we decided he should add some parts. So he put in the "high" Guitar part and all the Background vocals. he sent his parts to me and I mixed them in.
Stuart is such a good songwriter and his lyric writing is very strong. I hope I didn't alter his song too much. it is so short because I was doing it just to see if I could and that's why I didn't use all the song. I wish I would have now.
