Some of them I could not meet
She was dead within a week
My imaginary cat

At first she caused me quite a fright
But now she's ever so polite
Just a vision or quite real?
Maybe reflecting how I feel
Or a chance for me to heal

A cocker spaniel's very nice
Never offers me advice
Sometimes scares away the mice
Never need to call her twice
But she sometimes catches lice
