Move Stuff Around!

I've begun moving things around in my jamroom a bit. I reaqlized that lately my recordings have fit into the "difficult listening" category, and I want more toe tappers in the front, for now.

I actually have thought that it would be fun to start using the four-to-a-page format a little better and start creating some four song eps out of what I have uploaded.

Those will be coming, but may take a little while. It's tedious moving songs around!

New Mix of Turn Away, Yesterday

I've replaced the file of Turn Away, Yesterday. The new mix is the result of about 10 minutes' fooling around with the master track, but I think it's much improved. the eq before was kinda dull, and the new version has a little more treble. Comments appreciated!

My previous strategy of making my songs streamable only went for about 4 months and proved not to work so well, so I have readded downloadability (sure, it's not a word... who am I Miriam Webster?). The new thought is "viral distribution." If you like any of my songs, pass 'em on!

What Might Happen

I might put out a new seedee which will be a compilation of my first 2 albums from this site, "Marigolds" and "Unseen Hand". My friend Slumbering thinks I should do a CD of all the more strange songs, such as "Caula Limpette" and "Batwinged Freaks" and suchlike. Either of those things is slightly possible. I like the idea of doing a psychotronic double CD of the cream of my Macidol crop. Maybe by the end of 2007 I will be hard at work on a new CD of all new tracks, including rerecordings of things posted here.

One sure thing is that there shall indeed be more Matt Duane Griffin and / or Frogmorton product as soon as inhumanly possible.

What's the story with this Frogmorton

Once upon a time there never was Frogmorton, who couldn't possibly have come from the town of Crow's Nest, which didn't exist either. Frogmorton didn't have any angst at all, nope, not a bit, and wasn't in the least bit worried about popularity or his social standing. That would be silly. He didn't even exist. Frogmorton had no money in the bank, no job, and no prospects. In fact, he hadn't taken a shower in a really long time. Frogmorton was not healthy, but at least he didn't smoke.

this month has shown an increased interest in My Thoughts Feed the Fire. For those of you who are listening to this song, I say thank you. It's one of the nicer things in my jamroom, I think. It was written as an assignment during the songwriting seminar at the Kerrville Folk Festival in '05 for a class by Eric Schwartz. Can anyone guess what the 3 words Eric made us use for the song are?
