It's amazing what a little capitol investment can do for your music. In the last 6 months I've invested in doing my music in a big way. Up until February 29th I was using an old PowerMac AGP with a 1.2g upgrade processor for doing music, and it was working fine. But the old workhorse was getting a bit long in the tooth and was having trouble keeping up with the demands I was putting on it in Garage Band and Cubase SE3, so I decided to step up to the plate and make some changes.

And that's what the pickers and players do here on MacIdol. As I look around this site and listen to some of the music here I have to ask myself, how did so many gifted and talented people find time to write, play, arrange, and master all this wonderful music. And then post it on MacIdol for me to listen to.
It has to be Magic, it really does. In my little corner of the world I haven't met more than two musicians in the 3 years I've been here. I know they're out here in the hinterlands of Arkansas, but just not in my particular part of the hood. ( :-)
Well I guess it really doesn't matter anyway cause the music is sure on this site in spades. So to all of my fellow Song writers, Musicians, Players, and Arrangers I have this to say to you. Keep up the good work, --please. My iPod is very hungry and needs constant feeding.
Oh and by the way. I hope all of you have a happy, wondeful, musical New Year.

p.s. The picture posted with this is just a shot of the moon. It was taken while standing on ones head. |

Well now what do you think about that

Been here on MacIdol for almost three months now an my songs seem to be doing pretty good. That makes me happy, but for some reason there are no votes on any of my songs and no comments either.
I'm wondering if there is something more I need to do with my stuff to get people to vote or comment on them. I must be doing something wrong, or not doing something I need to be doing. But what can it be.
Of course I haven't voted on anyone else's songs either, so that may be one of the things I need to do. Maybe I'll go and do that, and stop worrying about it. It's not really a big deal anyway.

Well I finally got them to give me an account in the "jamroom" so now I guess it's time to have a look around and figure out what to do next.
I'll post some more later, but for now it's good to be here.
