| "Unseen Hand" | |
| I stood upon the rocks And looked for souvenirs The day was grey and cloudy But there was no rain to fear At the bottom of the crater There was rusted twisted iron I was standing on the edge I saw half a million years C There's a big hole in the land From a stone thrown by an unseen hand I stood upon the sidewalk Said "no" to the souvenirs The day was cold and windy There was darkness very near. Down below me was a crater There were broken concrete bones As I stood there on the edge I felt a sadness I've never known C B What is the hand of fate What is the hand of man Is it all hate we create I guess I just don't understand Well, I stood on the capitol mall Heard a hundred thousand cheer We said "don't want no Iraq war" and we said it loud and clear. And I ain't no terrorist And I hold my country dear But I don't believe in war And I say so without fear. C | |
