One of those "Written,Arranged,Produced,and Performed By" artists in the same class as Prince and Beck. Deacon aka Ryan Winkle released his first local album,"Can You Hear Me", in 1999. Since then, he has made 5 albums under the name "Deacon" and 5 rock albums with Jeff Smothers under the name "Dumb Angel". In total, Deacon has written over 350 songs since 1999. You will hear allot of vocal harmonies and massive sound ranging mostly from pop/funk to hard rock. With songs currently being passed through major labels and their artists, Deacon plans to release his pop album with "Rock The Mic" and "Pimpinsincebeenpimpin" along with a new rock album separately.

Recently, Deacon moved to Nashville to take advantage of Michael McDonald's studio when available to record new tracks with Shannon Forrest and other supreme musicians hanging around. Peter Reis (guitar) also moved to Nashville and has been writing with Deacon under the beautiful band name Vomiton Command. Hollis Seifritz of Deacon's side project Def Trigger also lives in Nashville making it more convenient to knock out gangsta soul hits.

With a giant collection of songs spreading across many genres, success for Deacon and his army of bands will happen with chain reaction.

DEACON'S UPCOMING POP ALBUM "CAN YOU HEAR ME" IS PLANNED FOR RELEASE IN 2007. DEACON'S ROCK ALBUM TENTATIVELY TITLED "FRESH BRUISE" IS PLANNED FOR RELEASE IN 2007 AS WELL.

When playing live, Deacon has a 5 piece,multi-instrumental band (members listed under band members). Although most of the band resides in Fayetteville, Deacon plans on playing a couple shows early 2007 in Fayetteville and Tulsa. Hopefully, touring will take place by the summer of 2007.
