Earlier this year I co-produced a short film entitled "Don't Look in the Attic" (more info at Midnight Pictures). I composed the soundtrack entirely using GarageBand, and I've now uploaded all the best bits as a single suite of music. |

Hope you enjoy my new song (which is really an old song, totally reconstructed in GarageBand). It's sounds 100% better than the original 1992 version, and not just because I'm using superior equipment, but also because I've hired Mike Andrews (http://www.mike-andrews.com) to perform electric guitar on it. |
Zombie movie music

I've just uploaded my second GarageBand composition, a remix of the theme tune from the 1993 cult movie Zombie Genocide (one of the few legal remixes on MacIdol, since I'm the composer of the original). Being a horror film theme, this is not the sort of music you'd willingly listen to for pleasure, but have a go. |

I've just finished composing my first piece of music, "Burning Bright," using Apple's GarageBand. I have to say, this software is a breath of fresh air compared to what I've been putting up with for years. There's something to be said for a piece of software that sets aside some of the more complex (and unnecessary) aspects of music sequencing in favour of a friendly user interface. Now, making music is no longer a chore; I feel like I'm finally getting back a sense of the fun I experienced back when I was composing tracker MODs in the Amiga days. Enjoy "Burning Bright" (which, incidentally, is a reference to Ray Bradbury's sci-fi novel Fahrenheit 451). If you like Tangerine Dream, this one's for you. |
