Well Enough Alone

Just posted this little anti-war ditty. Trouble figuring out a genre - any suggestions???

y'know I think I figured it out, I think this sounds familiar because I'm pretty sure you sent me a preview of this months ago. My memory is pretty spotty these days, so forgive me if I'm mistaken. I'm not sure if I offered any helpful advice but it's a great mix.

As far as a genre goes, how about Alternative? If it's having trouble fitting into the standard slots, Alternative is always an easy way out!

This has a jaunty Indie feel for me, the bass and lead vocal, bouncing it along nicely. Fun. With a serious message. Alternative is a possibilty based on the GraceNote categories, where it would either be Rock, Alternative or Country.

It would go well in Acoustic or Contemporary.

The guitar parts and vocal harmonies put me in mind of Buddy and Julie Miller, a kind of ... erm ... crossover alt-country, so New Country might be applicable.

Really, I guess, it's not so much defining the song as defining your audience (equally tricky  )

Whichever category you decide, I'll be there

I'd just go with acoustic.
