This is more a mid album breaker than an anthem, yet there is still an anthemic quality to the "working isn't living" chorus which sort of doesn't sit right. I felt really uncomfortable listening to that, it being my knock-off time 'n'all, but that's right for the song. I hope you know what I mean by that, it's meant as a complement. The song challenges and calls into question in the right kind of existential way.

It's a keeper I reckon, probably not a single, but better than a b-side for sure.

8) 8) 8)

My.

You do realise it is Buy Nothing Day today? It strikes me as apposite.

If Kilroy says that it has an anthemic quality, then it could well be a kind of anthem to accompany that.

Aren't those two clever? I had NO IDEA.

I'm afraid I can't participate, as I need to get my Silvertone from the music store and I'm eating a cheeseburger for lunch today.

Have to confess, they paid me to say I liked this one.
 (Don't tell them, though, but I'd have said I liked it, anyway, it's pretty cool!)
