You are planning on making an album out of your children's songs aren't you?
This was simply joyful fun! I don't know what it would do for a kid, but it brings the kid out in me! You handled the vocals and music very well Joanna as you always do. I've worked with voice translators enough to know how hard it can be to make the words come out clear. IMHO you might want to make the monster vocals a little easier to understand. Or, leave it alone!

Smashing good song lady!

This is fabulous Joanna, totally enjoyed it. :)
It does go to your head don't it, the tuba at the start really sets the right mood.
Love it when you sing "divine", it's so theatrical.

Thank you, everyone!

Fosco - The monster voices were much clearer in Garageband. I think the switch to mp3 muddied them. I forgot to listen all the way through after I converted. Oh, well, they're monsters -- very touchy to work with. Such egos.

Slumbering - It's been in my head far too long. It was time to inflict it on others, mwa ha ha ha ha

MarkOla - If my memory serves me, it was after hearing that tuba loop that the whole song occured to me. I was just idly listening to loops and thought it was too cool.

Stu If you slipped into fun mode, my work is done!

fingers Didn't mean to scare anyone, but I did worry about that with little kids. I guess this is for big kids.

I think my 6 year old will love it, kids do like to be a little bit scared, sort of like watching Dr Who behind the sofa.

A thousand thanks, but I was thinking of new songs, and "Batty" comes from long ago. I like the idea of a compilation of new kids' songs by MIers, perhaps then mastered by someone here to connect them.

I've actually got a few kid's songs up, although the song kids seem to love more than any other (I've heard from numerous parents about their kids driving them nuts replaying the song) is one of the first I wrote, Aliens Are Dancing on the Milky Way. At the time, I didn't think of it as a kid's song, but the wee ones have told me otherwise.

In short, I'm always up for a kid's song challenge (maybe if we left the word "contest" out of this others would be more ammenable).

Yep, I'm up for a challenge.

My boys' favourite song would be TNT by AC/DC, though lately, I'm pleased to relate, both (they're 6 & 9) have been enjoying the two Blues Bros. films, and in particular the appearances of James Brown. Of my stuff, they prefer "Newborn Baby Blues (and Pinks)" probably because it has Alfred (who was 10 weeks old at the time) gurgling thereon.
