BIG DRY

Just uploaded this one about the drought in Oz. My wife Jan's first harmony singing, and my first Seagull acoustic/Telecaster song. I'd be interested to know if it works for you.
Cheers,

Nice song.

I didn't know about the droughts in Australia.
That's terrible.

Your wife did a good job on harmonies.

...

i think the song "sings," if you know what i mean. the instrumentation
and the vocal arrangements are outstanding. i can't give you feedback
on the Seagull, as i'm not keen on what's special or different about it.
i do know that it sounds great.

the only thing i picked up on is an unusual resonance in your lead vocal.
i'm not sure what i mean, so my apologies. it's just that it sounds as tho
there is an effect, transformer, or something laid on your voice that i don't
think i've heard in your other music.

regardless, whatever it is i hear certainly does not distract or take-away
from the song whatsoever.

excellent music and i'm happy for the awareness of the drought. thx!!

Thanks for the note Boris - I think the effect you noticed is my pre-flu voice (I came down with an awful flu just after this was recorded - still trying to get over it). I used some compression and a little stereo delay on the main vocal, but I don't think anything else specifically on the vox. It's just an odd voice :)

I think your voice is very nice, in all the songs, it just has a nice timbre or something. Your music sounds so full and professional. The song is very good, i also loved Blown Away, if i didn't say so already.

What an excellent song!

Great production, performances and poignant subject matter, what more could anyone want? Well perhaps a little rain...
