Going Bass

I've always desired an upright, but space and cost have always put me off. Until now (maybe)...

Yum! The Riley electric upright - around AU$1200-$1300

Jealous? ;)

It's the organic thing. If they made a top-notch turntable out of wood, you'd get it.

Wood feels musical. I've played aluminium and stainless steel guitars that were flawless in sound and action, but they're cold - literally!

Wood, being an insulator, feels warm, and sunburst colours remind us of nature and warm sunshine.

That's the seat of guitar lust.

Yes, you're right, I am jealous. I want it all. I can see the appeal really.

One day when I get a digital camera of my own (my dad did my avatar pic for me) I'll post a pic of my percussion equip like my heartwood Djembe drum. I actually don't have any turntables but am instead a percussionist without the necessary preamp and top quality mike to record it all well.

My apologies, I presume again (takes foot from mouth.)

Playstation Singstar starter pack. Throw away (or eBay, anyway) the game disk (unless you've got sisters and a playstation), keep the mics and audio adapter.

You shouldn't have to spend more than US$50 and I assure you, it's great gear for the price, really hot gear!
