...

i'm happy that you are cool enough to call out your own songs.
it saves me the trouble of copy and pasting links all over the place!

seriously, i was set to call this out and woomf! there it was!

first of all, the pleasure of having Cydniko doing the percussion
is not only yours, but the listener's as well. unbelievable! i only
with i were able to pull off percussion this well.

i have to say, Neil, that with each offering you present, i just become
a bigger and bigger and fan. call me crazy, but i can picture a roomful
of musicians hanging out in some kind of old, abandoned school library
or something, the old books still standing on the dusty stacks, while
everyone smiles a satisfied smile and jams this piece out with you
in the very center of it all.

this is a hunormously well-produced piece and must have taken
quite some time to put together. the result bursts with energy and
professionalism... a level of which many of us may never reach.

really, really well done. thanks for sharing your skillz here! ;)

(ps. love the closing!)

Make that two fans 8) Now I just have to figure out how to listen to two songs at the same time - There's so much good music coming out of MacIDOL I have trouble keeping up with the people that put a link up for their new song much less listen to all the other music coming in. Just not enough time to hear it all.

I second what Boris said about putting up a notice of new music!

I believe B&massa did a song about this man and or 4 of the detainees at Cuba... I think it was called "Free the Skiffs," but I didn't find it in his jamroom.

It was called 3 Da Skips, Fosco (as in free the australians, but with "westy" street cred  ), and I forgot to put it back up when I had to repair my jamroom. I'll sort that ommission later today. (Edit - Now Reissued - 3 Da Skips)

Back on the topic at hand, this new Jiguma take on the subject updates and outdoes mine in spades! (At the time I did mine Mamdu Habib was still incarcerated, but has since been released, Hicks seems trapped for all eternity!)

This issue is a stain on western democracy's reputation. The UK put its foot down and got her citizen's back, but no, not Australia... but I sail too close to the politics of this...

Read more here and here if you care.

Fine effort, mate! Dark, thought provoking and a great beat and mix. (IMO, a better, more accessible one than mine, too.)

8) 8) 8) 8)
