This is a beaut, Sir. I love the rolling sound you get in the mix, there. Reminds me of Hazy Shade of Winter somehow. Not in the lyric or the melody but somehow the 'big sound' of it.

neat!. I get that Spektor -like wall of sound. It has a kind of mediterranean feel to it too. Amazing that you got Steve Howe to play a little wild guitar towards the end too. :)
Cool stuff.

I get that euro/mediterranean feel, too. I really like the way you find strong, yet unusual melodies, and how you seem to be as at home in a wall of sound as in a spacious mix, moving happily between both.

this one isn't working for me at all. there's nothing good i can say about it.

okay, there. i've given you negative feedback. why? because in my opinion, there's nothing you can do musically that is wrong to my ears. and if i continue to give you such rolling, positive feedback i'm going to be singularly* responsible for swelling your head and making it pop like an overripe mango.

and i just couldn't handle that. ;)

in all seriousness, Neil, this is just another volatile example of your pure talent. it sears with richness and depth. the production is extremely tight and the whole thing moves like a city bus at night with only three people on board.

it's quick, smart, and very easy to move with. i like this a lot, but hey - i'm a fan of yours, so maybe i'm biased! i can't say anything negative about your music and keep a straight face! hehe

* by the way, i had to spell-check the word singularly. thanks to that no-good phone company, i'm now second-guessing my own frickin' grammar! grrr!

Love the Steve Howe reference. I'm not a slide player by any means, but this solo is so simple that I didn't have to be! It did come out OK though didn't it :)
Thanks, Neil 8)

At last, an honest crit!! :D

Boris, I appreciate your comment - this song is one that took time to write, although recording it was a lot of fun. Singing was a very new activity for me when I did this, and I was really happy with how it came out. Glad it reached you.

In the best possible way I find that this is calling to mind the Pet Shop Boys, too. In fact it's amazing how diverse the influences are, and how the soundscape shifts. i'm enjoying this MUSIC! :D
