Nice song by James Bouchard
The most beautiful thing
I like this very nice, whats your plan with this demo beauty?
Its nice the way it is.
But I'm sure what ever your plans are it will be beautiful, like the name implies.

I agree Karen, this is so beautiful, it made me cry. Some people are just gifted, James is one of those.

Gosh, you're quick Kren! Doesn't sound like a demo to me, though. It's beautiful, gorgeous, i'm laving in it...
As soon as I read that Jim's got something up I'm clicking on the link!
Now to listen... ...'Beauty is truth, truth beauty, that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." - John Keats. I love the way the guitars step around each other, sometimes awkwardly, yet like two new lovers dancing - feeling their way round each other, learning each others ways. Warm, challenging, deftly crafted and yes, beautiful.
This sounds wonderful. Truly majestic and something that I'm sure Knopfler and other great guitarists would love to have in their repertoire.
Classy, slick and very beautiful. <a href="http://www.macidol.com/jamroom/bands/3/">Music</a> <a href="http://www.ifingers.co.uk">Guitar</a> <a href="http://www.ipresents.co.uk">iPresents</a> <a href="http://www.godslittleacre.co.uk">Peace</a>
Wonderful
This tune takes me places I haven't been before, hazy memories of things gone wrong mixed with beautiful comforting sounds. You have captured something special. MO music

Thanks very much, everybody... I'd actually recorded this long ago, and when I originally mixed this there were some audible clicks and other things in it that I tried to cover up with some sound effects and stuff. Peak has this filter called "remove clicks" which is really pretty nice, as well as a blending function that you can use when making edits, so that edits are smoothed in and not as obvious as in GB, so I went back to the original tracks and fixed some things that way rather than just covering things up. I did some other mastering-type stuff in Peak to arrive at this version, but getting rid of the clicks and editing out some awkward moments were most significant. I have been mostly on The Fritters trip lately so my solo stuff has taken a back seat, but I was happy I could get this to this more final version. I'd posted this before and gotten some nice comments then, so I wasn't sure if it was cheating to post the re-mastered version. I had a little scare over the weekend as I had a seizure and had an ambulance ride to the emergency room and run through a whole panopoly of tests where they found nothing, but still there's nothing like stuff like that that makes you get a good sense of your mortality, so I wanted to post this for my friends here at MacIdol. Thanks, Everybody!
BTW, it's not a demo in the sense of something that I plan on working on more, but more like a representative compostition of the James' ouevre...
That's dedication, James, for sure!
"Had a seizure ... must post that remix ///" downloading .................................................... take care of yerself
Amen to that! Glad nought wrong were found, too. (Well, I hope that nought found is nought wrong, anyway, I like having Jim around here as much for himself as his music.)
James.
Very nice. You have a way with an instrumental! It has a melody and a neat hook that makes 'y want to hear it again. Gilbert
