I was experimenting with some guitar tuning and got one I liked to work with. Recorded a track and added some percussion for a blues tune that's a little diffirent, I hope.
Have a listen to Chief Joseph

Re: Chief JosephFunny, i was just listening to this at the same time i saw your post. This is very nice! Im downloading now, it will be a good tune to kick back to.
Heap big medecine. Is that an open tuning, Mark? I like your touch and the way you mix the finger with slide so seamlessly. Very cool and light-handed piece
Thanks slumbering and kilroy
I haven't figured out the tuning, it was a crank and try process. I must write it down before I retune. I did the slide with the little finger so it left the others free. It took some time to find a tuning that worked for both. MO music

one of my favorite pastimes is to sit out on the old, wood steps on a cool, spring evening and lay my glass slide down on my busted-up, cheap acoustic. the action is real high, so i get a sound as smooth as Vermont syrup.
but, the thing is, my harmless doodles can only compare in slight to your proficient, atmospheric noodles. this is just absolutely great sound! you've really got a handle on this mood, MO. seriously! * by the way... your avatar... what the heck is that? i wish i could expierment like this
i am drivin by the bass and/or drum not that i am anti guitar man by any means but fo some reason in da depths of my soul those two instruments ring out (even when they ain't present) n i personal dig the percussion, while it may not be authentic native indian beats (that i am aware of) it was still very tasty. cool tunage brotha! and m&btb, its a mr potato-head with shades
Thanks for the compliments, it means a lot.
It's actually a old photo from my days of wine and weed that I photoshoped, a towel, harp, art rock and shades, here's a larger one. The beat's are from my french fried head, thought they fit. I know what your talking about Boris, I used to sit on my granny's porch in PA and noodle, one of the most peaceful places to be. Next time try this, it's fun. The tuning is very simple, bass E, A, D, G > A, B > C, E and it's in the key of A I think. My slide kept slipping on my finger so I wrapped a piece of cloth around it and put the slide on. While playing the cloth silenced the bottom strings so I used it to my advantage. MO music

Fantastic tune, I've been playing it all day, in stereo I'm pleased to say. Fantastic subject material too. As for the photo...
