Katchmo

Postby MarkOla » Mon Apr 10, 2006 10:16 pm

Katchoolik posted a drum and bass track up for grabs, witch was greatly appreciated on this side.
I added some slide guitar and harmonica. This is Katchmo , hope you like.

Tried some new mixing techniques on this one, like keeping the volume down

Thanks for the help Johnny.

Thanks guys :)

I started with the slide and the following beat just screamed for a harmonica.
But the slow end kept me grey cells working overtime, and finally it worked.
It is kind of wicked ain't it 8)

Here's another version of the same drum and bass track that tadashi made.
It's interesting to hear how different it is.

Cool work. I did find the change between the first and second part a little incongruent at first but then it hardly detracts from what is an excellent display of musicianship. Nice.

I did try a guitar that bridged that gap and continued into the harp part but it kept drowning the harp. Adding that minimal guitar seemed just enough to give the harp the space it needed.

Thanks for the compliment Paul.
