I was messing around with Finer's blues tune and one thing led to another.
I picked up on an old tune I had and this is the result.
Last blues
Not my last I hope.

Thanks Fosco and Stu
I know its slow. When I get the blues that's how I feel. It's something that comes from inside. An old feeling crept up on me, of loosing some good friends long ago. They have all had there last blues. The next song I post will be more cheerful. You have a good feeling on the harmonica Fosco on Finers blues, make it louder next time. I have a hard time keeping track of everyone around here. Forum names are different from artist names and you keep changing your avatars. I've heard a lot of good music here but I always forget who the artist was. I just checked your tunes Stu, you did a cool job of Finers blues and I like your guitar work on Fuss Over Nothin. MO music

Very nice- you get a gorgeous, cutting, yet fat tone out of your guitar!!

You got the feeling, alright. I love the way it builds. I'll be checking out more of your tunes. Thanks for listening in to my Jamroom. I'm not much of a guitarist, but those effects make it sound ok on Finer's blues.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful
Maybe fuelled by the fact that you haven't seen daylight for 6 months? What Maggie said about the tone, and then some. This is top class. <a href="http://www.macidol.com/jamroom/bands/3/">Music</a> <a href="http://www.ifingers.co.uk">Guitar</a> <a href="http://www.ipresents.co.uk">iPresents</a> <a href="http://www.godslittleacre.co.uk">Peace</a>
Thank´s Maggie, its a Teisco with one pickup. Last year I sanded down the body and gave it a few coats of varnish witch changed the sound a little. Its very unpredictable and thank god for effects. That sound you have on Finer´s blues is what I like. I listened to your tunes and found the sound on Mystery Turtle a great ear massage, good vocals too.
Thanks for the compliment Rich. Could you describe this thing you call daylight. MO music

I wouldn't want to blow your mind Mark, it would be too unfair... <a href="http://www.macidol.com/jamroom/bands/3/">Music</a> <a href="http://www.ifingers.co.uk">Guitar</a> <a href="http://www.ipresents.co.uk">iPresents</a> <a href="http://www.godslittleacre.co.uk">Peace</a>
Thanks, Mark! I reckon you'll appreciate that the guitar on "Mystery Turtle" is an old Danelectro/Silvertone- cheap and weird RULES!!!! I love funky guitars. Your Teisco is a winner. <b><a href="http://www.macidol.com/jamroom/bands/62">MUSIC</a> |<a href="http://www.mediawench.com/">BLOG</a>

No wonder it sounds so good.
I will post a photo when I find a place for it. MO music

BTW, my song "stupid rain" has my Danelectro all over it.
I'm looking forward to hearing more from your mighty Teisco! <b><a href="http://www.macidol.com/jamroom/bands/62">MUSIC</a> |<a href="http://www.mediawench.com/">BLOG</a>

We all drool over the classic fenders and gibsons, but when it comes to finding a unique sound you just HAVE to go for the odd-ball axes. If we all use strats, as we get better, we all tend towards sounding like Jimi or Stevie Ray, but if we use an ugly fence paling, as our technique improves, it accomodates the quirkiness of the nasty guitar and we sound different to everybody else on any axe as a result. If blues is life, you be livin', MarkOla!
Here is my Tulip after rehab. I could not find a before photo.
I found it in Seattle sometime in the 70´s in a shed and got it for $5.
I missed "stupid rain" the first round, great song. And grats on the cd.
You have made my day kilroy, but I'm glad Tulip has never seen a fence. Last edited by MarkOla on Fri Feb 03, 2006 1:12 am, edited 1 time in total.
