Political decisons can be difficult, especially when you have Mixed Emotions .

Neil, I think you captured the spirit of the days before the election really well in this. The ping pong match of "me-too" policy launches really had many people worried we were exchanging right-wing conservatives for right-wing labour.

Then during the count and transition I was sort of "asleep" and self-absorbed. When I awoke, Australia was different. We were ratifying Kyoto (or trying to, anyway) and we were telling Japan to take their whaling ships and shove them where whaling ships won't fit. Even Workchoices is going soon! Australia is the land of the fair go again. (We're still getting a stinking pulp mill near the mouth of the Tamar, though  GRRRRRRR!!!)

Sorry, I'm getting political, but it's an observation of the changes I've seen.

I'd been wondering what you'd been up to, missed my dose of Jiguma tuneage. Now I know, excellent work. I like the arrangement like it is, too. Makes it simple, personal and reflective.
If it can be imagined, there is already porn based on it.

Steve,

My lack of tuneage has been a result of going back to work fulltime - there's been a lot of mental energy spent elsewhere than songwriting, and I'm just hoping I can get back into the rhythm of it now that I'm back in the land of the non-working - and very happy about it too thank you very much :)

It does feel different doesn't it?! Not having Howard at the helm has really made a difference in how it FEELS to be Australian.

I hope our US friends have a similar feeling later this year too.

Thanks for the listen - shame about Tamar!

My listening pleasure, and for the pulp mill, there's still the chance to lie down in front of the bulldozers :x
