A summer song from Down Under, Coastal Daze.
Written the day we heard that our daughter was pregnant with her first child. It set off a heap of emotions which I hope are conveyed in this song. It seemed appropriate for this to be my next post.
This has been my most popular song for some time, and is possibly my favourite from my writing flurry of the past 12 months.
Vocals, guitars, bass and keys are live - drums and percussion are loops. Works best loud - thanks for listening.

That's really nice Neil. Poignant.
It's reminded me of a day I had with my son. He was three, I'd just finished my teaching practice and qualified. I took him to a beach near to where I live and spent the day with him - just he and I, all day. I can't describe how good it was, really, we had such a lovely day.
Very special to me. [I doubt he remembers, or would even admit it now!]
This song takes me back to that time, fifteen years ago. The lyrics are not quite right for my particular day, but they just brought it all back. They are beautiful though, I can see you've put a lot into this. Thank you for sharing it here.
