Re: Come Back Rosie
Aw, bless. It's like Jean Genie, but remade for Camberwick Green. Gorgeously sweet. Aw.
that's exactly what Sam said this was just meant to be a note of the idea, but then the lyrics got sort of finished and it kind of works even though it's full of stumbles and an extra bar where I didn't expect it - no timeline for this one Hey Sp3ccy can I quote you on that?
This is the sort of song I imagine Roger (Syd) Barrett writing and singing in him mum's Cambridge garden on a Summer afternoon. Needless to say, something deeply wonderful.

I can tell you don't live in Huddersfield. That said, log on later for my new masterpiece: I'm F**kin' Freezing My Tits Off
it's bluesy, it's folksy... it's right up my alley!
this is one of those breaths of fresh air. one thing i just love is being able to go from listening to a great piece of Downtempo, like Katie's song, to rolling over to a piece like this... i'm very serious when i say i haven't bought a commercially released CD in... well, it's been a long, long time. not because i don't like it, but because the artists here are raising the bar every day. i hear the influence we all have on one another, and if this song inspires someone to create a piece in the same vein, then we have twice the joy. and in turn, I know for me, hearing the amazing stuff you all are doing in the electronic genres has got me itching to finish up the folk stuff and move into a new area. this piece is a fine example of stripping the music down, getting back to basics, and just loving what you do. it shines and it's wonderful, despite the simplicity. even better, a piece like this can stand solely on its own, or it can be redressed with a host of techno gizmodgery and be made into a whole, new animal. it's just one of those pieces of music. terrific work here. thank you! I can't believe you folks all like it this much! Is it my birthday? Or April the first?
MaggieNever been compared to Syd Barrett before BorisExactly. I not for the variety, talent and artistry and above all, Freedom, of everyone here, i doubt I would have attempted to follow 'Haunted' with this track. I nearly didn't post this but then i realised that there wasn't any reason not to. Thanks you lot! And thank you Dava and slumbering. Where's the party?
