Reviving Podcasts RE: another thread

In another thread, ( viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7831&p=65821&hilit=podcast#p65821 ), Chris mentioned the following:
chrooke wrote:I was thinking about reviving podcasts in a way that might play in to this. My idea was have each artist make their own "Artist of the Week" podcast and graphic. When we have a bunch of people with these ready to go, I can start selecting them one at a time. This way the workload gets distributed around. I know it's kind of like writing your own performance appraisal, but it makes the whole think doable.

I don't want to be artist of the week but i had the idea to upload an mp3 version of my Dark Lullabies album for Halloween, which would be similar to a podcast. It has eight songs. I could even add on an intro or something to make it more like a podcast. I'm just not sure how to go about uploading because i believe i'd tried this last year and it didn't work. I'm not even sure anyone would be interested but i haven't done anything new for a long time and feeling a bit low because of that, plus Halloween is coming, which is my favorite holiday, but i really haven't celebrated it the way i used to, it's been many years. So, i thought it might be something i could add for Halloween but not sure if i should, if i would be able, if it even matters.

It's a little over 30 minutes long and about 52 MB. I'm nowhere near my 3GB limit for MacIdol, so i am wondering how i could go about adding it and if i may?

You certainly may add it. If Jamroom doesn't let you do it because of the size, get it to me some other way, and I'll get it here. You might be able to upload to the unfuddle account, or you could use your website, or your idisk if you have MobileMe.

Oh, DUH! It's already up at my site, i just wasn't thinking of it the same way. I don't know why.           well, maybe because i was trying to make a neat flash radio player that doesn't work right. But the mp3 is right there! I'm so dumb. :(

I guess what it comes down to is that i am trying to fix my site right now, and my site is kind of embarrassing sometimes, anyway, as it's just a vanity site that i started years ago and never really finished. And it would just feel more glorious or fun to post it up here at MI. I mainly link to my jamroom for my own music, anyway. So, i think i will attempt to upload it for Halloween and see how it goes. If it doesn't work, no biggie, most people who would even care probably already have it, anyway.

Well, if it doesn't work, let me know. I can make it work.
