MacIDOL A/V [Beta]

Postby chrooke » Wed Oct 21, 2009 2:12 am

I'm in the process of putting together a video feed in hopes of webcasting a concert I'm putting on for my 40th birthday. Since the feed is around even when we're not broadcasting live, I'm going to take a page from the RPM Challenge playbook and stuff it with YouTube music videos posted by MacIDOLs.

I'll assume that if it's up on YouTube, people won't care if I stuff it in the feed. If you do, let me know, and I'll take it out. If you particularly WANT your videos in, let me know, and I'll make sure to include them.

If this feed things works, I'll let you all know so you can watch the concert. I'm also happy to make it available to other MacIDOLs that want to webcast their musical performances.

Once I get it up and rolling, I'll post the link, and probably add an embed to a page.

I've got a beta of this up if anyone wants to check it out. Also, let me know if you want to add your music-related videos into the mix.

I'll attempt a live stream of my birthday party concert on Sunday, October 25, at 5PM EDT.

After that, let's look at having an open mike night once a month!

This works fine for me too, although the On Demand seems to load quicker for me.

I'm here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/akaGumboStu#p/u

Moonlight
Rope trick Of Dreams
Run run Bunny Bunny Go
Come Back Rosie
But I Won't Say Where
Blue Sparrow Blues
She's So Pretty
Nails And Scorn
Thank You (For Being A Friend Of Mine)
Urban Bourbon Blues and
Termite Blues

are all originals posted at MacIdol

Rope Trick and Urban Bourbon would be the stand out vids - the others are more video one man jams.So if you wanted to add any of those it's fine by me. A lot of the others are covers.

Oh, and I want to throw a shoutout to Spiresvortex for cranking out some graphics quickly on short notice -- a promo graphic for the streaming site to use in its catalog, and the graphic now on the front page here.

Thanks, Vortex!

My youtube page is here: http://www.youtube.com/jimbouchardmusic
and the ones that contain original music that I have posted at MacIdol either under my name or Union Label or The Fritters are:
Ruth Riding a Bike
Walking
Fenway Father's Day
Raindrops
BeSpeckled
Home of The Brave
How The West Was Won (The Fritters version)
Quito
Late At Night
other than the live Wilco videos and Mia Dyson and Maurice singing Taxman, everything else is original as well but not posted at MacIdol as yet.
