background / biography
Chris Cooke studied classical piano as a child, and voice in high school and college. He started composing in high school on a shoestring budget, using two standard cassette recorders to build multiple tracks. After college, he did not perform or compose for over a decade, though he continued to enjoy listening to music of all types. Apple's GarageBand software rekindled his interest in making music across a variety of genres. He immediately found the MacIDOL Mac Music community, where he also volunteers behind the scenes to help the web site function.

Chris' music has appeared in Robert Andrews' "My Best of Collection" e-zine, B&Massa's "Blues Radio" podcast, and The Composer Channel's "GPO Variety Hour". At one point he produced "Drum Different", a MacIDOL Radio Revolution podcast, which uses a different theme each month to look at the ways MacIDOL artists express themselves through music.
